Το πρώτο κρούσμα της ινδικής παραλλαγής του κορονοϊού επιβεβαιώθηκε στη Γαλλία, στο Λοτ-ε-Γκαρόν (νοτιοδυτικά), ανακοίνωσε σήμερα η Περιφερειακή Υπηρεσία Υγείας (ARS) της περιοχής της Νέας Ακουιτανίας.
«Επιβεβαιώσαμε ότι αυτό ήταν η ινδική παραλλαγή» αναφορικά με ένα κρούσμα στο Λοτ-ε-Γκαρόν «ενός ασθενούς που επέστρεψε από την Ινδία», τόνισε ο Μπενουά Ελεμπόντ, περιφερειακός διευθυντής της ARS, στα τηλεοπτικά δίκτυα BFMTV και CNews.
Την Τρίτη ο υπουργός Υγείας Ολιβιέ Βεράν είχε δηλώσει ότι «δεν είχε εντοπιστεί κρούσμα της παραλλαγής ινδικής προέλευσης στη μητροπολιτική Γαλλία».
