Σύμφωνα με αγγλικά ΜΜΕ και συγκεκριμένα την εφημερίδα «Daily Mail», η Μίλαν προσέγγισε την Τσέλσι για τον 27χρονο Γερμανό διεθνή σέντερ μπακ, αλλά η ομάδα του Λονδίνου δεν σκέφτεται να τον παραχωρήσει και μάλιστα του πρότεινε διετή επέκταση του συμβολαίου του, που λήγει το καλοκαίρι του 2022.
Ο Ρούντιγκερ από την ημέρα που ανέλαβε ο Τούχελ την ομάδα είναι βασικός και έχει δείξει πως μπορεί ν’ ανταποκριθεί στις απαιτήσεις του προπονητή του.
